Whether you’re a fan of gymnastics or not, there’s no denying that Simone Biles is a household name.
The greatest gymnast of all time is not done yet, searching for her third Olympics in 2024. But first, she went for more gold at the World Gymnastics Championships.
At 26, Biles is the oldest woman from the US to compete at Worlds in over 50 years and the first American woman to compete in six World Championships.
And still she is just getting started. Biles was locked and loaded, making gymnastics history in Antwerp.

Simone Biles medal count
Biles became the most decorated gymnast in gymnastics history with 37 medals between the Olympic Games and World Championships. She helped Team USA to its seventh straight team gold on Wednesday before securing her sixth all-around gold on Friday.
Biles breaks Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo’s record (33) for the most medals between the two international competitions, and is tied with Japan’s Kohei Uchimura with six all-around titles.
The team gold is Biles’s fifth, the only gymnast to hold that achievement. It comes exactly 10 years after she won her first Worlds medal, a gold in the all-around.
Biles now has won 30 medals at Worlds, 23 of them gold, both of which are the most in gymnastics history. She’s undefeated in the all-around and floor exercise competitions.
